PARDALOTE PARTEÉ, 2025

Pardalote Parteé is a hand‑built ceramic vessel, formed from three different clay bodies and painted with coloured slip and Sunshine Coast sea sand. It is a celebration of unity through diversity, and an invitation to pause and reflect on how disparate parts—internal as well as material—can coexist and support one another within a single, harmonious form.

The gentle swell of the bulbous body offers a sense of groundedness and abundance, encouraging quiet contemplation and a turning inward, while the coloured leather cord that weaves through the vessel evokes connection, care and the slow attentiveness of craft.

Like the sweet spotted pardalotes that chirp and chatter around the rim, this piece carries a sense of lightness and joy, reminding us that reflection need not be solemn, and that meaning often resides in the small, the intricate and the handmade.
