VESSEL GALLERY

My vessels explore themes of home, family and lineage, combining my background in graphic design with a lifelong love of painting, nature and expressive mark‑making. The colour, intricacy and quiet perfection of our native flora delight me, while the birds act as gentle intermediaries, bridging the botanical and human worlds.

Working primarily with clay, I build layered surfaces using slip, colour and texture across different clay bodies. I experiment with glazes, underglazes, stains and oxides, often incorporating mosaic and various fibre elements to support the visual design or narrative emerging at the time.
